Unauthorized marijuana study fliers posted on campus

Two marijuana study fliers were found in the Humanities Building Monday that were not authorized to be posted on campus.

According to the flier, a group of researchers from Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles are looking for young adults who smoke marijuana regularly to participate in the study.

Acting Director of Student Development Michelle Arthur, who helps authorize fliers that go on campus, had no idea about news of the study being posted on campus.

“That non-profit organization did not come to the Student Development Office and follow policy,” Arthur said. “They probably didn’t know. They thought it’s a college, it’s the public, we’re allowed to be here, we can post anything. That’s not the case.”
